Our Panama based team works with some of the largest companies in the World to:

  • Design and Build compliance programs, improving them, testing them and giving advice on how they can be improved in the Americas Region (US, Canada and South America) and around the World
  • Train on compliance areas like corruption, anti-trust/competition law/export controls, sanctions, money laundering, ethics, integrity, human rights and modern day slavery
  • Help clients select business partners around the Americas and advising them on the best way to reduce risk in engaging suppliers, resellers and joint venture partners
  • Drafting reports on proposed business partners, doing background checks and investigative work to uncover misconduct
  • Conducting audits and reviews of client subsidiaries or business partners in the Americas and around the World conducting investigations of misconduct, specifically in the areas of corruption, sanctions, competition law and business ethics & integrity

Job Summary

As a Due Diligence Research Analyst, you will conduct research on internet and web-based media databases, and write high-quality reports on companies and/or individuals using a combination of publically-available and proprietary sources. In this role you must ensure that the reports and daily updates meet the requirements in terms of content quality, accuracy, timeliness and completeness by establishing and monitoring adherence to The Red Flag Group’s market leading standards. You will also develop relationships with internal associate team in Panama and the team in other RFG offices such as the HQ office in Hong Kong, The Philippines and Phoenix, AZ, USA. Knowledge of Portuguese and English is a must. 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Conduct research on internet or web-based media databases.
• Produce high quality Due Diligence reports involving English, Spanish and Portuguese research and Analysis.
• Conduct first level quality control through peer review
• Carry out watchlist database screening on the subjects of the Due Diligence checks
• Provide input on the report writing process to help improve the quality and efficiency of the Due Diligence team
• Engage with associate team in other offices, seeking feedback, obtaining updates, managing delivery                   expectation on the quality of reports
• Remain knowledgeable of regional and industry trends
• Partner with other teams to ensure the integrity of key products
• Demonstrate a hands-on approach to work and willing to participate in ad-hoc projects on short notice
  Qualifications and Experience
• Educated to University degree level. Law, Commerce Degree or MBA highly desirable.
• Excellent writing and analysis skills, including the ability to summarise complex information clearly and concisely from Spanish & Portuguese into English.
• Country knowledge of Brazil preferred.
• Basic legal knowledge (structures and courts) preferred
• Strong research skills, including online search tools
• Excellent organisation, prioritisation and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and handle large volumes of work
• Be a team player with a high level of initiative and proactive approach to work
• Willingness to take ownership of tasks and issues
• Flexibility and adaptability to change
• Knowledge of and interest in international business affair
• PC (Office and Internet) proficiency
